Text Based Criteria

There are a number of different options when searching text based criteria for example:

  • A clinical term description or surname:

    • Equals (exact match)
    • Not Equals
    • Range - Useful for a range of patients, for example, surnames Aa - Cz
    • To and From
    • Starts with
    • Contains or Not Contains:


  • Yes/No - Some criteria have Yes or No selections, for example, private treatment:

  • Picklists - Other criteria rely on a picklist, for example, the Registration status, select single or multiple items from the available list:

  • Normal/Abnormal/Potential Abnormal - Selection is available in some clinical entities, such as Heart Examination - Sounds:
